Lead .NET/DB (MS-SQL) Engineer

About the opportunity

We are looking for a Lead .NET / MS SQL Engineer to lead the development of a data replication solution for an enterprise customer.

The project focuses on modernizing an existing data integration approach. The customer currently relies on direct database access to an operational platform for reporting and downstream integrations. As direct database access is being phased out in favor of REST API-based integrations, the goal is to build a configurable solution that extracts data through APIs and maintains a relational replica for reporting and existing integrations.

The solution will help preserve familiar data access patterns while reducing the need to redesign legacy integrations that do not require real-time data.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / .NET Core.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.
• Experience building data integration, replication, synchronization, or ETL solutions.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and API-based data integration.
• Experience leading technical projects or engagements, ideally for enterprise customers.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with clients.
• Good understanding of software architecture and integration patterns.
• Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it toward delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to technical challenges.

Nice to Have:

• Experience migrating legacy database integrations to API-based integrations.
• Experience with data warehousing or building reporting-oriented data replicas.
• Experience working with high-volume data extraction or synchronization.
• Experience with enterprise integration projects and multiple downstream systems.
• Experience working with configurable or reusable data integration tools.
• English level: Upper intermediate

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery of the project and drive the engagement from the engineering side.
• Design and develop a configurable database replication/data synchronization solution.
• Build data extraction and synchronization processes using REST APIs.
• Design and implement the target data model and relational database structures.
• Develop the solution using .NET Core and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Work closely with multiple stakeholders to clarify requirements, define technical solutions, and manage delivery expectations.
• Act as a client-facing technical lead and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions.
• Coordinate technical activities and ensure alignment between project requirements and implementation.
• Identify potential technical risks and propose practical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation decisions related to data integration, replication, and database performance.
